Well...

It's official. I am no longer a gaijin in the wonderful world of Japan. I have barely been "home" 24 hours and it is a strange feeling. After a year, I have grown fairly accustomed to a homogenous society...and the U.S. is clearly not that way...at least not at LAX or in Redding. But it was nice being able to have a conversation with a cashier and use my debit card. I miss Japan a lot and it really hasn't sunk in yet that I no longer live there. I want to go back (to visit, not to live) as soon as I can.
So, as of now, this blog is dead. I suppose I can save it for those times that I do travel back to Japan (hoping that I do).
